About The Grocer

Celia

Celia Jenkins always wanted to create a food shop with a special atmosphere. With a background in arts marketing, she enjoys a creative challenge. Celia was inspired to create a small-scale business that she runs herself.

Having spent many holidays with her grandmother in Martinborough, Celia feels a strong affinity with the place she now calls home. She devotes her energy to providing an irresistible selection of food for locals and visitors to explore at The Grocer.

“Hello, I’m pleased to share with you my shop The Grocer. A deli-grocery in the Wairarapa village of Martinborough, it’s a small space with lots to discover. The shop is filled with the gourmet and local foods you’d want to find in a neighbourhood delicatessen and products that I personally love. I’m keen to know what customers like, so what’s on offer keeps evolving. Please come in and have a chat.” - Celia
